The Rat Utopia Experiment

aka T.R.u.E

The Rat Utopia Experiment is a girl-fronted “circus” rock band from Washington state—aka, the PNW’s favorite circus act. Now in five shiny colors: Phia on vocals, Francis on bass, Maddox on lead guitar, Drix on rhythm guitar, and Christian on drums!

Having mostly stayed around their hometown since 2022, with the release of their newest single “Lobotomize Me” and the freedom of graduation from school, the band has branched out of their stomping grounds and gained a large underground following. Carrying a love for theatrical performances, intricate lyrics, and intense riffs, The Rat Utopia Experiment blends political messaging and emotional storytelling in a high-energy, tear-jerking, dominating, and overall terrifying stage presence.

As of August 2026, they've been signed to Mom + Pop Music, released a music video for "Lobotomize Me" and "Three-Banded Armadillo" on Youtube, and are going on their first tour this fall where they will be playing both headlining shows and opening for the Linda Lindas during their "Gotta Get Out" album release tour.

Inspired by your favorite 60’s, riot grrl, noise rock, triphop band 🌟
